We
arrived at Miami International Airport at 14:40 local time and drove to Fort
Lauderdale. On route Black Vulture, Boat-tailed Grackle, Feral Rock Dove and Northern Mockingbird were all noted. On reaching the
beach at Fort Lauderdale 5 Brown Pelican were seen in flight.

An early morning visit to Hugh Taylor Birch State Park produced the following species:-
