Southend on Sea, Essex

While enjoying a family day out to Southend on Sea I located a glorious Mediterranean Gull in full breeding plumage. Present at the east side of the pier among the commoner Black-headed Gulls. Also observed were several Ruddy Turnstone feeding along the shore.
