Maple Lodge Nature Reserve & Lynsters Farm

An early afternoon visit to Maple Lodge Nature Reserve produced the following species count;
Little Grebe (12), Cormorant (2), Grey Heron (1), Gadwall (2), Teal (7), Mallard (17), Shoveler Duck (3),
Pochard (1), Tufted Duck (8), Sparrowhawk (1), Kestrel (male), Red Kite (1), Water Rail (2 calling birds from Phragmites reed bed), Moorhen (16), Coot (55), Black-headed Gull (3),
Common Gull (1), Woodpigeon, Collared Dove, Ring-necked Parakeet (4), Kingfisher (2), Green Woodpecker, Great-spotted Woodpecker, Grey Wagtail (male at sluice), Wren, Dunnock, Robin, Blackbird, Song Thrush (3), Goldcrest, Long-tailed Tit, Blue Tit, Great Tit, Jay, Magpie, Jackdaw, Carrion Crow,
Chaffinch, Goldfinch, Linnet.
Species of note observed at Lynsters Farm as follows;
Greylag Goose (1), Canada Goose (50), Egyptian Goose (2), Jackdaw (c100).
