An afternoon visit produced the following species;
Little Grebe (5 inc 2 pairs), Great-crested Grebe (10 pairs), Cormorant, Grey Heron, Mute Swan (9 inc 2 pairs), Greylag Goose (pair), Canada Goose (10 pairs), Egyptian Goose (pair with goslings), Gadwall (7 inc 3 pairs), Teal (pair), Mallard (several pairs), Shoveler Duck (pair), Pochard (5 pairs), Tufted Duck (several pairs), Goldeneye (6 inc 2 pairs), Sparrowhawk (1), Moorhen (pair), Coot (several pairs), Black-headed Gull (several pairs on tern rafts), Herring Gull (31), Lesser Black-backed Gull, Woodpigeon, Kingfisher (displaying pair), Green Woodpecker (1), Great-spotted Woodpecker (drumming male), Sand Martin (13), Grey Wagtail (1), Wren, Dunnock, Robin, Blackbird (3 singing males), Song Thrush (2 singing males), Blackcap (12 singing males), Chiffchaff (10 singing males), Goldcrest (singing male), Long-tailed Tit, Coal Tit (displaying pair), Blue Tit, Great Tit, Jay, Magpie, Jackdaw (14 over), Carrion Crow, Chaffinch (2 singing males), Goldfinch (pair), Siskin (1), Reed Bunting (singing male).
