An afternoon walk from the Maple Cross side of the farm up through Ladywalk Wood to the Heronsgate side of the farm produced the following species:-
Red Kite (5), Common Buzzard (3), Woodpigeon (12), Green Woodpecker (1), Great-spotted Woodpecker (1), Eurasian Skylark (11), Meadow Pipit (7), Pied Wagtail (1), Wren, Dunnock, European Robin, Northern Wheatear (1 Heronsgate side), Common Blackbird, Song Thrush (2), Blackcap (2), Common Chiffchaff (3), Long-tailed Tit, Blue Tit, Great Tit, Common Magpie, Western Jackdaw (4), Carrion Crow (c80 on ploughed field), Common Starling (5), House Sparrow, Common Chaffinch, European Greenfinch (2), European Goldfinch (pair), Eurasian Bullfinch (pair at Ladywalk Wood).

Long-tailed Tit
The mild conditions proved ideal for Butterflies with the following species observed:-
Small Tortoiseshell, Comma, Peacock, Small White, Orange Tip, Brimstone.
