Autumn arrives at Maple Lodge

An early evening visit provided the following species of note:-   
Ring-necked Parakeet (4), Kingfisher (2 from Shell Hide), Water Rail (1 calling from the reed bed).
Earlier in the day Greenshank and Green Sandpipers were reported but this evening the marsh was quiet in their absence. At Lynsters Farm 17 Greylag Geese, 32 Magpie and c30 Jackdaw were all observed from Lynsters Hide.
