Whinchat at Heronsgate

An early afternoon walk to Heronsgate via Woodoaks Farm produced a single Whinchat. The bird was present on a barbed wire fence and was observed dropping to the floor to catch insects before returning to the fence post. Nearby a pair of Kestrel hunted overhead. On returning back to Woodoaks Farm 2 Red Kite put in a brief appearance and at the old orchard a single Little Owl and c50 Collared Dove were noted.
